Privacy

Your privacy, explained clearly.

How Faze Photos handles your information when you browse events, search for photos, use face search or place an order.

Privacy policy

How we handle your information.

Effective date: 1 October 2026

This policy explains how Faze Photos collects, uses, shares and stores personal information when you use our website, search event photos, create an account or buy photos.

What information do we collect?

We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, account details, delivery details, messages and order information.

We also receive event information used to provide photo galleries, such as event and race details, participant names, bib numbers and event photos. If you choose face search, we collect the selfie you submit and biometric information created from it for that search.

Our website may collect basic technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and cookies. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Faze Photos.

How do we use your information?

We use personal information to run event galleries, help you find photos, process orders and payments, deliver purchases, manage accounts, provide support and send service messages.

We may also use information to protect the website, prevent misuse, meet legal obligations and understand how our services are used. Where practical, reporting and analysis use grouped or de-identified information.

Face search and biometric information

Face search is optional. When you choose a selfie and select Find my photos, you consent to Faze Photos using the image and biometric information made from it to look for likely matches in the selected event.

Normally, your selfie is used only for that search and deleted after processing. For events where review capture is enabled, we keep your selfie, searched bib where supplied, matches and selections privately to improve face-search accuracy until our review is finished and we explicitly delete them. You may continue without face search or contact us to request removal. We do not treat a searched bib or suggested match as verified identity. An unfinished upload expires within ten minutes, and search results expire within one hour.

To provide face search, we keep face information made from event gallery photos while that event remains on the platform. It is removed when the event is deleted.

Face-search results can be wrong and may include other people. They are suggestions for you to review, not proof of identity. You can use bib or name search where available, or contact us for help instead.

Upload only your own photo, or your child's photo if you are their parent or guardian. If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian to use face search with you.

Who do we share information with?

We use trusted providers for website hosting, cloud storage, payments, email, security and photo delivery. They may handle information only as needed to provide those services to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or customers, or as part of a business sale or transfer. We do not sell personal information or biometric information.

Some providers may process information in Australia or overseas. Their locations and services may change over time.

How long do we keep information?

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain business and order records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the website.

Account and order records may be kept for longer than gallery search information. Face-search retention is described in the section above.

How do we protect information?

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No internet service can guarantee complete security.

Cookies and other websites

We use cookies and similar tools where needed for website functions, carts, accounts, security and basic usage analysis. You can manage cookies through your browser, although some website features may stop working.

Our website may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own policies.

Children

Event galleries may include children who participated in or attended an event. A parent or guardian can contact us with a privacy concern or removal request.

Children under 16 should use face search only with a parent or guardian.
